Personally, I think it's hilarious that he quit. That lame Balrog was probably more mad than the quitter.

Yeah, I'd have raged too. Turtles are lame.

Balrog shouldn't have gotten the win: he didn't earn it.

lol @ you guys justifying a ragequit because of a "turtle".

That Balrog attacked often but he just sat on the lead waiting. The Chun Li was the one running backward and turtling.

Play to win. Why would you rush a Chun-Li with an Ultra?

That Chun is a disgrace and should have put pressure on when behind.

What is your dream game you anonymous idiots? One where forward is default held down for both sides? Anyway Chun Li is more of a rusher than Balrog. It's like it's his fault for not walking into those obviously charged fireballs or something.

To all the non-anonymous, pro-turtle players: I'm surprised you left a name to your statements. If I was a turtle, I'd be ashamed to step outside, let alone let people know I was one.

In my opinion, they both sucked. All they did was turtle. I mean the first two rounds was a total borefest. The only exciting part was when Balrog actually grew some balls and decided to attack during round three. The Balrog was more of a turtle than the Li; watch the first two rounds again and you'll know what I mean. Anyway, The Li should've been more aggresive as well as the Balrog. I've never seen a Balrog turtle so much in my life. It's a disgrace to other Balrog players like myself. Balrog is straight agressive, period.

This match is a great example of why turtling is such a lame strategy.

Two fighters, staring at each other from opposite ends of the screen, waiting for someone to do something.

Riveting.

People can play any way they want, both those characters can punish mistakes hard and both players were being cautious and not commiting, they BOTH chose to turtle, so to them the match wouldn't have been boring, they were playing it safely and waiting to punish mistakes. The turtling game only works while both players are almost even health wise, you have to commit when behind if the timer is going down. I am sick of all these gamers (usually Ken, Zangief or any of the other up close and personal characters users) complaining about turtling, some characters main game plan involves a huge degree of turtling and running away, and some match ups necessitate turtling sometimes on both players parts. If you don't like turtlers then the problem is your simply not good enough to beat them, very few characters can turtle hard and still be successful against a good player with decent offence that knows what they are doing.

As a pro player myself, who is overwhelmed with fight requests...

This is why people dont like street fighter. You have to give them a match to enjoy. If this was just for winning pride and a victory I hope you losers wouldnt have uploaded your replay.

The name of the game is street fighter not street hider.

You both suck and for the record, that rage quit was hilarious but he should have quit when the balrog mashed him for mega damage and ran into the corner like a pussy.

You guys both make street fighter look bad. Stop being afraid to lose and step ur game up to the next level.

I love the people who go "you just can't beat turtlers."

Even if I smashed every turtle I ever saw, it's still an extremely lame lame strategy. "I'm punishing mistakes." No, you're running away. You're not playing defensive, you're wasting everyone's time. Sure, everyone needs to go on the defense every now and then but look at this shit. None of them even wanted to go forward.

Turtles are so stupid.

Agreed, turtles are lame. It's just an excuse for not knowing how to play against actual players who actually knows what they're doing and can defend against any fighter they face. You are not accomplishing anything by turtling except for robbing yourself the experience of actually p[laying a good match; one that you can be proud of and learn from. I believe turtles just lack offensive strategies and knowing how to adapt to their opponent's play style. The should just play the game normally and fight their opponent, all the while learning new techniques from them and learning from the mistakes made. What's a loss compared to evolving as a player?

Both are big crap players. Even if he the Rog player knows a little what he is doing he plays bullshit there. Was boring to watch.

Wow, haven't seen so many comments for one post before. You are right, a loss is nothing compared to learning compared to what you can learn from a battle.

And this is why I know longer play this game sure turtling is a legitimate stragedy but it sure is boring

Turtling is valid form of strategy, but this kind of game is patetic and boring. Like the so called "pro" stated in the previous messages, if you are so afraid to lose don't play. I mean, you got the lead by a mile and you sit your ass in the floor for a time limit? It's not like you are risking anything if you attack. This "sit your ass" and "hadoken + tatsu-run over you" are a same for SF. Do it if the game is getting close and time is running, not the entire match, for god's shake.

People who complain that another players strategy is "lame" or "not street fighter" or "boring" - you just can't beat them, can you? Play to fucking win.

If you get angry because your opponent is turtling then punish them for it. If you can't do that then it is because YOUR strategy needs work, not your opponents.

FFS.

I don't give two shits about playing to please crowds. I play to win. I'll turtle, rushdown, or zone if I have to. I'll turtle all day. If it gets me wins, then I am the better player. If I lose because of it, my opponent is the better player. Sure, turtles matches are boring (as a turtle myself), but it is an effective and legitimate strategy that the impatient fall victim too and that's the harsh reality that scrubs don't seem to realize. Scrubs think of turtles as cowards. We are just waiting for your scrub mistake to happen and we'll make you pay for being too impatient. We want you to be impatient. Can't handle it? Find it too boring? Do something about it instead of bitch and whine. Find a way to beat a turtle. Leave that honor bullshit back in grade school.

Haha right. All hail Kona! The ruler of turtlers and scrub losers! What a joke
