I think the main difference between the two games is that BB has six person lobbies, while SFIV only has two person rooms (the person that made the room, and the challenger). So, people can quit matches easier on SFIV without having to worry about anyone else noticing (until they get posted on here.
Just a theory, but it may be why rage quitters are so prevalent on there compared to other games.
Also SF4 attracts the 'casual' gamers (if you were a casual gamer and wanted a beat-em-up you probably would go straight to Street Fighter 4?), whereas blazblue is a bit more hardcore, it is probably the case that less 'casual' gamers are buying blazblue.
